A rather superfluous study from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in last year was conducted with only eighteen test persons. The brain activity of the test persons was measured while the test persons did learn something and then again when they recalled what they had learnt. The researchers thus learnt that learning is more effective while inhaling and recalling is more effective while exhaling.
This reminds me at what I did read in a book by Norbert Claaßen. He’s a German author and a big fan of Carlos Castañeda. This guy is debunked as a plagiarist. But Norbert Claaßen claims that he by a method, which he learnt from a book by Carlos Castañeda, got healed from an incurable disease and so supports and defends Carlos Castañeda under all circumstances. Norbert Claaßen writes books, in which he explains some of Carlos Castañeda’s alleged sorcery methods. One of these is what Norbert Claaßen calls the Recapitulation Technique. It shall serve for letting go emotions connected to memories and draining your energy. This purpose (letting go, not to drain energy, which is automatically done by emotions) requires to recollect the memories and this is done by a simple breathing technique, which requires nothing more than to breath while turning the head. I’m not sure whether this exercise really brings any advantage.
