People Write about Guaranteed Basic Income without Understanding it

Martin Armstrong has recently published an article on Guaranteed Basic Income on his blog. As I have seen on other blogs before, he also wrote about the topic, but hasn’t understood it. He wrote literally: “I could never sit home, not work, and just watch TV.” I can understand him well. But this isn’t the idea of Guaranteed Basic Income! No, it is the exact opposite: Nobody would force you to watch tv! Nobody would force you to sit at home! Nobody would prevent you from working! Guaranteed Basic Income wants to give the opportunity to everybody to do more than just sitting at home and watching tv! Because in truth you can hardly go anywhere or do anything if you don’t have enough income. Even if you only want to go to work, then you need enough income for this! Although I can explain this only with the German example, you should learn from this what expects you in future if Guaranteed Basic Income won’t be introduced. A German craftsman needs to work five hours for being able to afford one working hour of a fellow craftsman. This is due to the incredible greed of the German government. Of course other governments see this as a role model. For the craftsman it is much better to repair the things in his home by himself than by entrusting a better qualified craftsman for the special field with it. But thus the first craftsman needs to stay at home and none of the two gets paid! Idiotic? Well, it is idiotic to spread false information about Guaranteed Basic Income. As the word already tries to say it shall be guaranteed and it would only be guaranteed when it isn’t subject to conditions.
