Zero

Zero is asteroid #4321 and also known as 1981 EH26. Zero is an ordinary Main Belt Asteroid, rather in the Outer Asteroid Belt, and was discovered by Schelte John Bus at the Siding Spring Observatory. Zero isn’t much interesting for astronomers.

Zero is officially named after the American comedian and actor Zero Mostel, who lived from 1915 until 1977. His real name was Samuel Joel Mostel. He spoke Yiddish, German, Polish, and English. This tells a lot about his and even more his parents biography. Samuel Joel Mostel performed poorly at school, so his parents warned him that he would become zero. This was probably beginners’ English for a good-for-nothing. Samuel Joel Mostel chose Zero Mostel as his artist name because of the prophecy of his parents. Although several asteroids are named in honor of actors, they are usually more famous than Zero Mostel and the asteroid got his name also because of an additional reason. The name Zero for the asteroid is playing with his asteroid number. It sounds like a countdown and the name finishes it: Four – Three – Two – One – Zero. The name could of course have been given to #54321 instead because this asteroid still isn’t named. Probably had many astronomers never expected that asteroids with such high numbers would ever get names. So #4321 is finally Zero.

As an astrological force could Zero show that something is brought to its end or represent a good-for-nothing or hint to bad English. The latter meaning isn’t really meant serious. Although Zero is rather prominent in my own natal chart, as my natal Zero forms a conjunction with my natal North Node, I haven’t been able to figure out Zero’s relevance or most likely meaning. Your natal North Node shows you to where you should develop. So let’s say that Zero represents a good-for-nothing in my natal chart because I’m fighting for social justice with my little means and I’m fighting especially against those hypocrites, who are only pretending to fight for social justice, but exploit poor people for own agendas.
