Lada is asteroid #2832 and also known as 1975 EC1. Lada was discovered by the Soviet-Russian astronomer Nikolai Stepanovich Chernykh (Николай Степанович Черных) at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory/ Nauchnij research campus. Lada’s orbit is characterized by a semi-major axis of 2.48 Astronomical Units, an eccentricity of 0.09, a period of revolution of 1 422 days, and an inclination of 4.2 degrees.
Lada is a trademark for cars from the Russian company AvtoVAZ (АвтоВАЗ), so this article is an addendum to my celestial cars article. But the asteroid Lada is in truth named after a Slavic deity. Lada probably is nothing else than the result of misinterpretations of Old Slavic words. Lada and also Lado appear in medieval songs and represent there the beloved one. During the 15th century had the Church in Poland prohibited to worship the male god of war, that was called Lada. But already in the early 16th century Lada was known to the Polish people as the mother of the twin gods Lel and Polel. These are also bare of reliable sources. Lithuanians and Latvians adopted Lada also in the early 16th century, but it is unknown as what and doubted at all. Later had people in the Balkan prayed to Lada for rain and Ukrainians praised her at weddings. Lada probably never was part of the pantheon of any religion, but became a folklore goddess of love and happy family life. Lada should, after this career, represent a slowly growing love and also be able to directly represent a spouse. If your car is a Lada, then you should check this asteroid in your natal chart too.
