Druzhba is asteroid #1621 and also known as 1926 TM. Druzhba was discovered by the Soviet-Russian astronomer Sergey Ivanovich Belyavsky (Серге́й Ива́нович Беля́вский) at the Simeiz Observatory (a research observatory until 1950, then it became part of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory). Druzhba is a common S-type asteroid and a member of the Flora/ Ariadne asteroid-clan.
Druzhba is named with the Russian word druzhba (дру́жба), which means friendship. The asteroid Amicitia also is named with a word for friendship, only from Latin. Both asteroids are members of the same asteroid-clan! This supports my opinion that the same asteroid-family must mean similarities in the astrological interpretation. But it also adds some difficulty in finding the difference in the astrological meaning of both asteroids. The help of the Wiktionary can’t be overvalued in such a case.
The Wiktionary explains that the Latin word amīcitia means friendship or an alliance, while Russian has two different words for friendship. Druzhba (Дру́жба) is translated as friendship, while priyáteljstvo (прия́тельство) is translated as casual friendship, acquaintanceship, amicable relations. This justifies the point of view that druzhba (дру́жба) is a much closer friendship than amīcitia.
I had checked the position of my natal Amicitia because I’ve always made only very few and still not too close friends. So I have to check my natal Druzhba too. She (the Russian word clearly features a female gender) is at the end of Capricorn, also lonely there, only in a square with my natal Venus. So both astrological forces act only together, but not in accordance. This could hinder tight friendships.
