Adria

Adria is asteroid #143 and of the type C. Adria’s orbit is characterized by a semi-major axis of 2.76 Astronomical Units, an eccentricity of 0.07, a period of revolution of 1 676 days, and an inclination of 11.5 degrees. Adria was discovered by the Austrian astronomer Johann Palisa at the Austrian Naval Observatory in Pola, that nowadays is Pula, Istria, Croatia.

The town, from where asteroid #143 was discovered, is located at the coast of the Adriatic Sea. So the asteroid discoverer simply named the asteroid after the Adriatic Sea. It is part of the Mediterranean Sea and separates Greece and the Balkan countries from Italy. So Adria simply is a place name asteroid representing the Adriatic Sea, which certainly can have some relevance for mythology, especially for tales, which connect Italy with Greece or were from Greek mythology adopted into Roman mythology.
