In last April, the result of the study of a research group was published. This research group examined why robots are inferior to animals, although the designs of many robots are inspired by animals. They found that the robots, which got designed to perform certain tasks, can outdo animals in exactly these tasks. But not in other tasks. The research group further found that animals aren’t designed to perform certain tasks, but have to be able to perform many different tasks to the purpose to survive. This exactly is what makes animals superior to robots in tasks, for which robots weren’t explicitly designed.

Several blogs have been quoting this study. If they hadn’t, then I had simply ignored it. All the “results”, which those “researchers” found, are things, which always have been clear to every person, who’s got a brain. Those “researchers” would only have had to ask such a person. You now at least know for what tax money gets wasted.
