Delia is a carbonaceous asteroid. Delia was discovered by the French astronomer Auguste Honoré Pierre Charlois at the Nice Observatory (Observatoire de Nice) in southeastern France near the border with Italy.

Delia is named after an epithet of the Greek goddess Artemis. This epithet is a reference to the island of Delos (Δῆλος), where Artemis was born. The name Delia also is the name of several places (including an impact crater on the Moon) and several persons.
