Eulalia is asteroid #495 and also known as 1902 KG. Eulalia’s orbit is characterized by a semi-major axis of 2.49 Astronomical Units, an eccentricity of 0.13, a period of revolution of 1 433 days, and an inclination of 2.3 degrees. Eulalia was discovered by the German (from Baden, a grand-dukedom with Karlsruhe as the capital, while Germany still didn’t exist) astronomer Maximilian Franz Joseph Cornelius Wolf, usually referred to as Max Wolf, at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory (Landessternwarte Heidelberg-Königstuhl).
Eulalia is named after the grandmother of the wife of the discoverer of this asteroid. So this is another of the asteroids named by Max Wolf after members of his family, although these were in no way famous. Here is at least known that the family member was the grandmother of the wife. Is this the grandmother-in-law? The name Eulalia is of Ancient Greek origin and means the Eloquent. So Eulalia represents grandmothers-in-law as well as eloquent people or eloquence.
