Strange Math

I recently read that intense heat and drought meet currently every fifth year, but only once in twenty-five years in the 1950s. This wanted to be a scientific discovery. But I think it is quite strange because the 1950s took from 1950 until 1959, so ten years altogether. Much less than twenty-five years!

Similar strange are current forecasts of the election in the USA. Only five percent of the voters didn’t decide on their vote before the debates, according to polls. But thirteen percent of the voters want to decide after the debates.

These examples prove the current level of skills in math? I look at them rather as evidence of fake-news.
