Kenzo is asteroid #5526 and also known as 1991 UP1. Kenzo was discovered by Urata Takeshi (浦田 武) at the Oohira Station of the Nihondaira Observatory. Kenzo belongs to the Eunomia-family.
Kenzo is named after Suzuki Kenzō (鈴木 憲蔵). He is an astronomer, a lecturer on astronomy, and a planetarium guide at the Nagoya City Science Museum. He has co-discovered many asteroids, among them Niijima. Suzuki Kenzō (鈴木 憲蔵) used to collaborate for almost every discovery with either Furuta Toshimasa (古田 俊正) or with Urata Takeshi (浦田 武). The name Kenzō (憲蔵) is a Japanese male name and literally translatable as having principles.
I mention Kenzo because of his relation with Niijima. Besides this theme, by the way Niijima (新島) literally means new island, Kenzo is an astrological force, which indicates if somebody has principles because of the possible translation of the name of the astronomer, who lend his name to the asteroid.
