Pandora means the all-gifted and is described as the first human woman in Greek mythology. She is such a popular figure that she appears in many modern tv series. In such cases she usually carries or guards a wooden jewel case, which shall be Pandora’s box, which originally contained all evils. Sometimes the evils found back into the box somehow, so that the box must be guarded while mankind still knows the evils. This is contradicting logic and certainly far off from what the ancient Greeks wanted to describe. Perhaps really too many men were involved in creating such modern stories.

Most women, who study mythologies, have been very quickly convinced that Pandora’s box is found between Pandora’s legs. It was only against the morals of the time of the origin of Pandora’s legend to explicitly describe female genitals. The task of women is to bring the next generation on the material plane. New hopes can be put in each generation. Hence hope stays inside Pandora’s box, understood as the female womb, and can still be known to mankind. Hope is known only because of staying inside Pandora’s box. But this hope is always disappointed, by each new generation. So what leaves Pandora’s box is always evil and known because of leaving Pandora’s box or the female womb. Pandora represents all women and especially the ability to give birth. This must be considered too, when examining Pandora.
