While Facebook is busy with censoring, the New York Post as well as the British Daily Mail reported that Patrisse Khan-Cullors recently purchased a $1.4 million home in an exclusive Los Angeles neighborhood. Patrisse Khan-Cullors is the leader and co-founder of Black Lives Matter and says that she would fight for the right of impoverished black people and versus the white and rich people and their privileges. Her new house is a three bedroom, three bathroom house in Topanga Canyon, complete with a separate guest house and expansive back yard. The home is described in the real estate listing as having ‘a vast great room with vaulted and beamed ceilings’. The realtors write that the large back yard is ‘ideal for entertaining or quietly contemplating cross-canyon vistas framed by mature trees’. Many social justice warriors think that it isn’t right to become wealthy before all other social justice warriors become wealthy too. But this is difficult to reason because how should such a precise timing be achieved? What makes many people upset in the case of this new house is something else: In her new zip code, 88 per cent of residents are white and 1.8 per cent black, according to the census. Patrisse Khan-Cullors isn’t white, but she appreciates some white privilege for herself! She also knows what the white privilege is in truth.
