I wrote previously about the cubewano Logos. Cubewanos are generally named after gods of creation and frugality. 1992 QB1 aka Albion (#15760), Makemake (#136472), Varuna (#20000), Quaoar (#50000), Deucalion (#53311), Borasisi (#66652), Teharonhiawako (#88611), Salacia (#120347), Varda (#174567), Arrokoth (#486958), Altjira (#148780), Praamzius (#420356), Sila-Nunam (#79360), and Chaos (#19521) are all cubewanos and named after deities of creation and frugality. Chaos is named after the primeval state of existence, from where the primordial deities, that are the first generation of deities in Greek mythology, had emerged. Hence Logos (#58534) must also be meant as a god of creation. This brings the Logos, through which all things are made, of the Gospel of John back into play! Logos is indeed meant as to be the Creator, not treated differently than the gods of long gone or considered as irrelevant religions. Only to take the name for a satellite of the god of a monotheist religion proved to be difficult, so that other meanings of Logos had to be considered. The different meanings of Logos are at least taken from the same philosophical tradition.
Haumea (#136108) was believed to be a cubewano, but is meanwhile delisted as such and found to be in a 7:12 orbital resonance with Neptune. This orbital resonance is probably intermittent, but can last for several millions of years. Haumea is probably also the only Kuiper Belt Object, from where a collisional family originated, hence Haumea will probably form an own category. Although the members of the Haumea family are in different orbital resonances with Neptune. Rhadamanthus (#38083) is possibly a cubewano because it is delisted as a plutino, that Rhadamanthus was thought to be as it was named. The initial errors in the calculations of the orbits of Haumea and Rhadamanthus are part of their plays in order to snatch their names. Hence they wanted to be named as a frugality goddess and a judge of the underworld in order to show what astrological forces they represent.
Fantastic site you have here but I was curious if you knew of any forums that cover
the same topics discussed in this article? I’d really love to be a part of
online community where I can get opinions from other experienced people that share the same interest.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Kudos!
