Repunit

Repunit is asteroid #1111 and also known as 1995 WL. Repunit was discovered by the Japanese amateur astronomer Kobayashi Takao (小林 隆男) at the private Ooizumi Observatory in Ooizumi-machi (大泉町), Gunma, Japan. Repunit seems to be an astronomically quite boring asteroid and belongs to the asteroid-family Koronis/ Lacrimosa.

Repunit is named after its asteroid number. The name is an abbreviation of repeated unity. So this asteroid belongs to the theme of playful names in the manner of Allodd, Alleven, or Prime. While Tripaxeptalis represents real cryptography, Repunit is a great candidate for representing vulgar numerology.
