Les aventures d’Asterix is a comic book series, which got translated into many languages and is popular at least everywhere in Europe. Les aventures d’Asterix is, like most and at least all famous European comic book series, a Belgian comic book series, but Asterix lives in a hidden and not exactly known village somewhere in Aremorica. This gives the astrological force Armor a connection with the astrological force Asterix. Several towns and villages in that coastal area claim to be the true home of Asterix and have some strife because of this. Although Asterix, his friends and his adventures are all invented and fictional, the comic book series teaches many European kids about their cultural heritage. The historical background of the stories isn’t in its correct chronological order, but still real.

The main task of Asterix and his friends is to resist the Roman legions. They conquered already all of the Roman Empire, but somewhere in Aremorica is one little village, that still makes it own rules and accepts no Roman masters. This little village is the home of Asterix and his friends, who defend the village with the help of a magic potion, which proves to be superior to all Roman weapons and Roman armies.

The standard for naming celestial objects is to name them after Roman mythology. Asterix and his friends fight the Romans. So the asteroids of the Asterix-theme are opposing forces to the planets and constellations. The asteroids of the Asterix-theme are opposing forces to everything, that got a Latin name. The Asterix-themed asteroids nevertheless are beneficial astrological forces. They mainly show resistance and resilience. The asteroid Asterix represents heroic resistance.
