Perun is asteroid #4250 and also known as 1984 UG. Perun was discovered by the Czech astronomer Zdeňka Vávrová at Kleť. Perun’s orbit is characterized by a semi-major axis of 3.17 Astronomical Units, an eccentricity of 0.12, a period of revolution of 2 060 days, and an inclination of 2.5 degrees.
Perun is named after the Slavic god Perun. He is the god of thunder and lightning. He is the supreme god of the Slavs. His name mustn’t be spoken and Perun may only be called by those in peril. Perun is one of the two earliest documented Slavic gods. The other one was Dajbog, also known as Dabog or Svarožić and later as Radegast. Perun can be recognized by his attributes, which are an iris plant, an axe, and an oak. Perun is the Slavic version of the Greek Zeus, the Roman Jupiter, and the Germanic Donar. The name Perun literally means thunder.
In order to understand Perun, he should be compared with his equivalents in other mythologies. The ancient Greeks told tales about phenomena of nature and embedded them into their mythology and early history this way. The Roman deities are matured versions of the Greek deities in most cases. Germanic and Norse mythology was written by christian missionaries, who used old tales, but also the opportunity to ridicule and sometimes demonize the older religion. Slavic mythology had always been a merely oral tradition. It was almost extinct before some writers had the idea to pen down what was still known about Slavic deities. The opportunity to demonize some deities proved to be irresistible for christian writers again. They also constructed a dualism between Radegast and Perun. But there is no reason to believe that Radegast and Perun were meant to be foes and fight each other. There is simply nothing else known for sure than that Perun is the Slavic god of thunder. He has a name and attributes, but no tale connected with him. He is like the muses of the Greek or the personalized virtues of the Romans this way.
So Perun can indicate thunder if you want to try forecasting the weather by the use of astrological charts. Perun can in other cases hint to loud noise or a person making loud noise. Perun can of course also show certain types of relationships when he accordingly is associated with other astrological forces named after Slavic deities.
